Antique Ashworth Bros. Small Platter

Gorgeous small chinoiserie platter by Ashworth Bros. Circa 1880. This platter has wonderful colors with its rust rim and cobalt blues. This pattern was based on Chinese Export designs so popular in the 1800s and still as popular today. 

Ashworth Bros. was a company based in Hanley, England that produced ceramics from 1862 -1968. Ashworth Bros was founded in 1848 and was known for its high-quality, hand-crafted ceramics. The firm succeeded Morley & Ashworth (1858-60) which had acquired the rights to the Mason patent for ironstone china.

MEASUREMENTS: 10” W x 8” H

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs but there is wear to the rust color on the rim.
